Deputy Head of Data Science Services, Allianz Technology, Germany
In this keynote, Firas Ben Hassan explores the evolution of artificial intelligence from large language models (LLMs) to agentic systems capable of autonomous decision-making.
As Generative AI reshapes industries, organizations are confronted with the challenge of responsibly integrating these technologies while unlocking their full potential.
Firas will demystify Agentic AI—intelligent systems that plan, reason, and act with autonomy—and show how this shift is enabling new forms of human-AI collaboration.
Drawing from hands-on experience deploying enterprise AI solutions, he will share practical lessons on scaling innovation, ensuring governance, and anticipating the next frontier.
The talk will also provide a forward-looking perspective on Small Language Models (SLMs), multi-agent collaboration, and Agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

This talk will be dedicated to a presentation of the European AI Act, that has been adopted in June 2024 and that came into force, for its first provisions, on February 2025. The presentation will begin with some general considerations about AI and the reasons for which the European regulator thought it necessary to adopt this Act. This will be followed by detailing the main guiding principles that are driving the regulatory framework before entering deeper into the description of the regulated AI systems and AI models, explaining the main differences between them and their specificities in terms of restrictions or obligations. That presentation will then end with some take aways about the way to implement a program to comply with the AI Act, together with the sanctions that it provides for.
